What Are the Warning Signs of Chile Sexual Abuse?
Parenting is never an easy road, but having to watch out for all kinds of predators makes it even harder. Many pedophiles don’t exhibit signs that they are different from anyone else. As a matter of fact, they try to blend right in. So how do you know if your child has been a victim of a perpetrator?
There’s No One Right Answer
While many children will exhibit signs of sexual abuse, all don’t. It depends on the child and how they respond to what’s going on. Some children will show signs of:
Sexual Play - Many kids who play with dolls will show them kissing or laying together, this is pretty normal. What you need to keep an eye on is when they start to display acts of oral sex or other overtly sexual behavior.

Inappropriate Touching - Some children who have been or are being sexually abused will touch others in the wrong way. They may want to touch other people’s private areas or may put their mouth near someone’s genital area. A little curiosity is normal but overtly sexual behavior may be a clue that something is wrong.
Playing Sexualized Games - Some kids are just curious about other’s body parts, especially the opposite sex. But when they try to play sexual games out of sight or use a specific name for their game, it might be a sign of something else. Nicknames for private parts instead of actual body part names is also something to be aware of.

Self Penetration - If a child puts toys, fingers, or other objects in their vagina or anus, it is cause for concern. While it’s completely normal for a child to explore their own body, it is much less common to find a child doing this.
Steering Away from a Certain Person - Although many children who are being sexually abused won’t shy away from the pedophile, especially if it’s a family member, some will. It’s important to pay attention when this happens.

While these are all things to pay attention to, none of them mean for certain that a child is being sexually abused. Some children won’t exhibit any of these behaviors at all. Each child is different. Parents should always follow their gut instinct and pay close attention to anyone who is around their children, including family members. Up to 90 percent of child molesters are family members or close friends of the family.
